Raising Awareness

Collaborating with Dr. Marshall and researchers from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), we continue to support the ABATED study through active participation in focus group meetings. Studies reveal that early dementia symptoms may vary across different ethnicities. https://www.qmul.ac.uk/media/news/2025/medicine-and-dentistry/fmd/study-reveals-early-dementia-symptoms-may-vary-across-different-ethnicities-.html]

Understanding Dementia

Our dementia Project Coordinator, provided narration for the following set of Raising Awareness videos, produced by the ABATED Study at Queen Mary University of London, which have been widely published and utilised as a valuable training resource:

We gratefully acknowledge and thank the ABATED Study team for producing these resources to help improve understanding of dementia and brain health. https://www.qmul.ac.uk/abated/our-study/

Support for Carers

Caring for someone with dementia can be rewarding, but it can also be emotionally and physically demanding. At HCEO, we welcome carers to get involved in our activities and services, providing a friendly and supportive environment where they can connect with others, access information, and focus on their own wellbeing. We recognise the vital role carers play and are here to ensure they feel valued, supported and part of our community.

Looking After Yourself
